Math addition is the application of established properties, rules and methods to sum numeric quantities. Simple addition only considers positive whole numbers.

- Uses math integers,
- Can include fractions or decimal values,
- The “+” addition sign between quantities summed,
- Use “=” (equal to) math sign to separate quantities summed from their sum, and
- Sums (answers) can be zero or positive values.
